Start here.

Erin DeLuca

I’m going to be honest- January kind of kicks my butt. After all the extra hours of work and general craziness of December it can be hard to get back into the swing of things. A new year is a fresh start, but where exactly do I start?

The first couple of weeks of the new year have me simultaneously trying to give myself a break so I can breathe and let my mind focus on creating new designs for the creative side of this business- while also planning/prepping/pitching/applying to shows and trying to get ahead of the dozens of other things that apparently should have been done last week for the business side. There is so much I want to accomplish it can feel a little daunting, but also strangely exciting.  This is the time of year that I can set the tone and intention for my business, when I can explore new designs and push myself to try new things.

This year, in the theme of exploring new ideas, I've decided to try something a little different- and now here we are, on a blog. The idea of this "studio blog" is to let you in on what goes on around here and I will do my best to keep it interesting but I'd also like for it to be real. I am one of the lucky people that truly gets to do what they love for work, but that doesn't mean there aren't challenging situations that arise. While I plan on showing you plenty of beautiful projects, collaborations, jewelry related travels, designer features and more, I'd also like to share with you some of the challenges of owning your own small business and how I handle them. This is the glamorous (and not so glamorous) life of a jeweler.

I hope you'll enjoy getting to see a little more of what goes into Erin DeLuca Jewelry, please let me know in the comments what you'd like to learn more about on here or if you have any questions!

Welcome to my (sometimes crazy) little world!

xo,

Erin
